Bakery Assistant

Job Description The Bakery Assistant plays a vital role in preparing and baking various bakery products, primarily bagels and breakfast items such as eggs and bacon. They support the kitchen team by mixing and forming dough, boiling and baking bagels, and producing cookies and biscuits for sale. This position requires physical stamina for lifting heavy ingredients and working early morning shifts, often starting at 5 am, and occasionally earlier for catering events. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and a cooperative team player within a small crew of 5 to 6 members. ResponsibilitiesBoil and bake bagels to daily specificationsMix and form dough for upcoming baking daysPrepare cookies and biscuits for store salesCook eggs and bacon throughout the weekLift and carry heavy ingredients, including 50-pound bags of flour and waterMaintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen areaCollaborate effectively with a small, dedicated team Preferred QualificationsEntry-level experience in bakery or food preparation though experience in baking a plusProficiency in dough handling and preparationKnowledge of food safety and hygiene standardsStrong time management skillsDemonstrated reliability and teamworkAttention to detail in food production and kitchen dutiesServe safe certified a plus if not certified then we can get you trained on thiswillingness to learn is a muston time and ready to work is a must
