We are seeking experienced Locum Physicians to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across the country. You will provide critical health assessments to Veterans without engaging in treatment or prescribing, ensuring timely and accurate evaluations that support their benefits. The position offers a flexible schedule on a PRN basis, with options to work half-day or full-day shifts, ideally at your own office location.Required Skills:Medical degree (MD or DO) with current licensure in the state of TexasProven experience in general medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgeryAbility to perform interviews and basic physical assessments with accuracyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail and report accuracyAbility to work independently and manage a flexible scheduleNice to Have Skills:Prior experience with Veterans Affairs or government contractsBackground in Compensation & Pension exams or familiarity with related protocolsCertification in relevant assessments or physical testingPrior telemedicine or remote assessment experiencePreferred Education and Experience:MD or DO qualification with a minimum of 2 years in clinical practicePast involvement in VA or military medicine preferred but not requiredExperience performing health assessments and documentationOther Requirements:Work is local candidates only; travel expenses included in ratesQuick credentialing and onboarding processCommitment to completing required training and initial exams for a bonus incentiveNo overtime, holiday rates, or billable rates apply; adhere to specified hourly ratesThis position offers a competitive pay rate of $624.00 per hour, along with comprehensive medical benefits, weekly pay via direct deposit, paid sick leave, and additional reimbursements for licensure, certifications, travel, and other expenses.
