Expertise is required in the specific area of fellowship training in cognitive and behavioral neurology, dementia, or related subspecialty is strongly preferred. Applicants should demonstrate a record of scholarship with potential for, or evidence of, extramural research funding. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree and should also have formal advanced training in epidemiology (Ph.D., MSCE, MSCI, MSHP, MPH, or equivalent). Applicants must also be board-certified in Adult Neurology (ABPN certificate) and meet all federal employment qualifications and Pennsylvania licensure requirements.Teaching responsibilities may include teaching/mentorship of medical students, residents, fellows, and graduate students in clinical neurology, neuroepidemiology, and neuroaging research.Clinical responsibilities may include evaluation and management of individuals with neurological symptoms and conditions in the outpatient and inpatient settings. Clinical care will be delivered at UPHS and CMCVAMC.Research or scholarship responsibilities may include an ability to develop and sustain a research program that advances knowledge in neurological disease epidemiology, environmental determinants of brain health, and/or health services for aging and veteran populations.
