As we expand we are looking for highly motivated COTA's to join our team.Job Title:Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) - Part-timeJob Summary:The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) provides direct therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT). The OTA helps patients achieve independence in daily living activities, improving their physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities. This part-time or PRN position offers flexibility, providing therapy services as needed based on patient requirements.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Develops, implements and evaluates the plan of care in partnership with the client, representative, caregiver(s) and physician(s)Provides direct occupational therapy services in accordance with the plan of care established by the physician in a home health setting Educates and instructs client, family members or other client representatives, in rehabilitation care and activities to necessary to promote the client's health, safety and independent livingAccurately documents observations, interventions and evaluations pertaining to client care management and services providedSelect activities that will help individuals learn work and life-management skills within limits of their mental or physical capabilitiesRecommend changes in patients' work or living environments, consistent with their needs and capabilitiesEngage in research activities and participation in formal educational training activities related to therapy.Perform other duties as assignedQualifications: Graduate of an accredited program of Occupational Therapy Assistant with an Associate level degree.Active Texas state license as an occupational therapy assistantProof of current CPR certification.Current Texas driver’s license. Skills:Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously, work independently, prioritize and manage time effectively. Strong organizational and communication skillsComputer skills required & light typing preferred for timekeeping and documentation. Home health care experience preferred.Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
