Salesforce Lead Engineer
IntroductionThe Salesforce Lead Engineer will serve as the highest level of technical authority for the enterprise Salesforce ecosystem. This role involves defining platform architecture, establishing engineering and governance standards, leading modernization efforts, and ensuring the scalability, security, and maintainability of Salesforce solutions as the business grows.ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership:Define and govern Salesforce architecture standardsLead architectural reviews and technical decision-makingMentor senior engineers, technical leads, and solution architectsSalesforce Architecture & Solution Design:Design scalable, secure, and maintainable solutionsArchitect for scale within platform constraintsEvaluate new Salesforce capabilities and adoption strategiesPlatform Engineering & Development:Lead development using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and FlowsEnsure adherence to secure development and code quality standardsEstablish standards for maintenance and retirement of legacy frameworksEnterprise IntegrationDesign and govern integration solutions using APIs and middleware platformsDefine enterprise integration patterns and API strategyCollaborate with enterprise architects to align integrations with technology strategyData Architecture & Governance:Own the Salesforce data model and system-of-record definitionsDefine data quality, retention, and archival strategiesGovern data migration and consolidation programsPlatform Modernization & Innovation:Lead platform modernization initiatives and technical debt reduction programsDrive adoption of modern Salesforce capabilitiesRecommend architectural improvements for business agility and scalabilityDevOps & Operational Excellence:Establish Salesforce DevOps standards and deployment practicesImprove platform observability, reliability, and supportabilityPartner with Security and Infrastructure teams for complianceSecurity, Risk & Compliance:Own the Salesforce security architecture and compliance postureContribute to business continuity planning and data restoration strategyManage vendor relationships and licensingCross-Functional Collaboration:Partner with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and enterprise architectsTranslate business objectives into scalable technical solutionsCommunicate complex technical concepts to technical and business audiencesRequirementsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field15+ years of professional software engineering experience12+ years of Salesforce platform development and architecture experienceStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience within regulated industries such as insurance or healthcareExperience leading enterprise-scale CRM transformation programsContributions to the Salesforce communityTechnical ExpertiseFor a detailed list of technologies and capabilities required for this role, please refer to the table above.
