Learn more about our vision at https://www.exo.inc/our-visionJob SummaryExo Imaging is seeking a highly motivated and technically strong mechanical engineer to design new ultrasound products for manufacture in Asia and the USA. In this role, you will drive the evolution of Exo’s flagship product, Iris, and reshape next-generation devices. You will work closely with Product Engineering, Imaging, Manufacturing, and Characterization to translate product requirements into robust mechanical designs, ensure manufacturability, and resolve issues from concept through verification and production.Job Responsibilities (but not limited to):Drive the end-to-end development lifecycle for revolutionary ultrasound platforms, from initial feasibility and transducer (probe) design to clinical validation and market launch.Translate clinical needs and emerging technologies (such as Point-of-Care Ultrasound/POCUS) into actionable technical requirements and milestones.Act as the primary bridge between Product Management, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, and Clinical Marketing to ensure the final product is compliant, manufacturable, and world-class.Design of metal casting components and plastic molded parts for high volume/low cost manufacture.Develop thermal solutions using internal and external resources for CFD.Document product subassemblies and finished goods from initial design to marketrelease.Work with cross-functional team to refine product design.Prototyping, in house and at vendors to confirm designs.Orders, inspects and evaluates product components and subassemblies and tooling, forin house assembly, Asian and US based pilot production and final commercialproduction.Maintains detailed documentation throughout all phases of product development, withperiodic reviews to senior management and cross-functional teams.Coordinates activities with outside suppliers and consultants to ensure the delivery ofsupplies or services needed to meet scheduled timelines.Conducts feasibility studies of the design to determine ability to function as intended.Participates in brainstorming.Experience working with operations to develop strong manufacturing process instructions and operator environment is desired.Familiarity with fabrication methods: prototypes and high-volume metal casting, machined, molded, assembly methods, adhesives, etc.Work with Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFM / DFA) guidelines from vendors and OEM.Education/Experience Requirements:BSME required.MSME preferred. Or extensive experience in areas listed above.10-20 years of product design and development experience with an emphasis on highvolume metal and plastics design, fabrication and transfer of manufacture to Asia or USfacility as needed.Strong background with SolidWorks or similar CAD.Familiarity with FMEA, CFD, and thermal solutions.Other Requirements (Travel, etc.):Travel as needed.SolidWorks 3D CAD proficiency.SolidWorks PDM desired.Strong knowledge and experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other Officeproducts.Base Salary: $190,000 - $210,000
