Join our team!SUMMARYResponsible for operating manual and/or CNC machine tools to produce precision metal parts to blueprint or job order specifications.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSOperate manual and/or CNC machinery and equipment to process work pieces to blueprint or job order specifications.Follow prints and job orders for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions such as fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cut and determines sequence of operations with supervisionPlan jobs and lay out dimensions on parts per printsSet up and operate machinery to cut, shape, or form parts to specifications.Ensures work pieces are lubricated and cooled correctly throughout machine operationEnsures machines run in a safe and efficient manner by adding attachments, aligning pieces, securing fixtures, or replacing broken or dull partsUses hoists, crane, or personal strength to lift work pieces to machinesMeasures finished pieces with precision measuring tools and equipment to ensure they meet order specificationsProvide a quality product to our internal and external customersEnsure conformity and quality of finished workClean and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on machines, tooling and partsMust work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries per our safety rules and regulationsPerform other duties as assignedSKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED/PREFERREDAble to use and understand all precision measuring instrumentsBasic math, fractions, and decimalsAbility to read and understand blueprints, bills of material, setup sheets, etc.Able to use a wide variety of hand tools.Ability to follow oral and written instructions.EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED/PREFERREDPrefer successful completion of related course work at a trade or technical schoolOTHER REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCESAbility to change assignments frequently.Can work well independently and with others.Observes safety and security procedures by using equipment and materials properly.Is consistently at work and on time, ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent.Follows instructions, responds to management direction.Takes responsibility for own actions.Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goalsCompletes tasks on time.Must supply own hand tools.BENEFITSCompetitive salary with annual performance evaluationsHealth InsuranceHealth, dental, vision, and prescription drug insuranceNo Waiting PeriodCoverage starts on the first of the next month following day 1 of employmentCompany-Paid Life InsuranceRoth & 401(k) + Company MatchPTOAll new hires start with 80 hours of PTO on day 1Paid HolidaysSafety Shoe Allowance of $175/yrTuition ReimbursementReduced Fee Child Care at Cradle to Crayons in Moundridge
