Business Systems Analyst

ECCO Select is currently seeking a Business Analyst for our federal contract in Kansas City, MO. This is a high-visibility program that has significant customer interaction. The BA plays a critical role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and the technical development team.The Business Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements for software development projects. They work closely with stakeholders, including product owners, developers, testers, and end-users, to ensure that the software solutions meet business needs and objectives. The BA will serve as the liaison between the business side and the technical team, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project goals.W2 only - no C2CPrimary Responsibilities:Assist in applying common best practices for Agile software development using a knowledge base to create conceptual business models and to identify relevant issues and considerations in selecting application software packages.Requirements Gathering: Work with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, functional requirements, and technical specifications.Business Analysis: Analyze business processes, workflows, and data to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for software solutions.Solution Design: Collaborate with the development team to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals.Documentation: Create detailed documentation such as Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), Use Cases, User Stories, and Process Flow Diagrams.Facilitation: Facilitate meetings and workshops with stakeholders to elicit requirements, clarify business needs, and resolve issues.Communication: Act as a liaison between business users and the development team, ensuring smooth communication and understanding of project objectives and requirements.Project Management Support: Support project managers in defining project scope, timelines, and deliverables, and contribute to project planning and tracking.Required Qualifications:Expert knowledge of agile software development methodologies (SDLC) from planning and inception through implementation and post-production supportAbility to communicate at all levels with clarity, poise, maturity and precision both written and verbally in external customer-facing situationsExcellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills; balancing strategic alignment with technology roadmap and emerging industry trends with practical deliveryWorking under only general direction, provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 5 - 7 years of experience, or a Master's and 3 to 5 years of experience.Preferred Qualifications:SCM CertifiedExperience working with the Federal governmentExperience working with Azure DevOpsOur Commitment We would love to have you join our team!
