Associate Medical Director, Clinical Research Cardiovascular

Job OverviewKey physician to provide clinical oversight to clinical trials in cardiovascular disease development programs. Reports to the Senior Medical Director and provides medical guidance across product development, protocol design, site recruitment and monitoring, data interpretation, and regulatory submissions.ResponsibilitiesServe as a medical expert for clinical projects and influence decisions with medical, scientific, and marketing implications.Provide medical input for design, planning, initiation, and completion of clinical trials.Prepare medical components of study protocols, IND and other regulatory submissions.Act as medical monitor for trials, ensuring patient safety, integrity and conduct.Partner with cross-functional teams (Research, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Biometrics, Clinical Operations, Safety, QA, Product Development, Business Development, Management) to develop and execute comprehensive clinical trial plans.Build relationships with prominent cardiovascular investigators and attend scientific meetings to stay current and represent the company.Advise regulatory bodies such as the FDA using the company's strategic intent.Perform product safety medical reviews for investigational drugs.Provide high-level customer service to internal and external stakeholders.QualificationsMD, MD/PhD, or DO with cardiology board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine.Significant clinical investigator experience or at least 2 years in clinical development in a biotech or pharma company; sub‑specialty training required.Experience in cardiovascular therapeutics development and studies in heart failure is strongly preferred.Knowledge of CDER regulations/ICH and pharmaceutical safety reporting and surveillance requirements.Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, interpersonal, and leadership skills.Strong teamwork orientation and ability to work internationally.Computer literacy and ability to work remotely within the United States.CompensationIn the U.S., the hiring pay range for fully qualified candidates is $232,200–$270,900 per year.LocationThis is a remote role; employees must be located within the United States.EEO StatementCytokinetics is an Equal Opportunity Employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
