Devops / Platform Engineer

Duration: 6 month Contract-to-Hire

Work Authorization: W2 only (No C2C or sponsorship)

Summary: This role focuses on platform administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, capacity management, and system optimization across critical production environments. The ideal candidate has experience supporting Java-based platforms, Linux environments, and middleware technologies, with a strong operational mindset and a passion for solving complex technical issues.

Responsibilities: Administer and support middleware, integration, and application server platforms. Monitor and optimize CPU, memory, JVM, and overall system performance. Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis. Administer and support Apache NiFi and related integration technologies. Manage clustered environments, scalability, and platform capacity. Support upgrades, patching, and security certificate management. Partner with development, infrastructure, and security teams to improve platform reliability and performance.

Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Middleware, Platform, or Infrastructure Engineering. Experience supporting Java-based applications and JVM tuning. Hands-on experience with JBoss, WildFly, Tomcat, or similar application servers. Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting experience. Experience with performance tuning, capacity planning, and high-availability environments. Excellent communication skills with a proactive, ownership-driven approach.
