Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you'll perform technical and supportive tasks aligned with your education and demonstrated competencies. Key responsibilities include:Patient Care SupportAssisting registered nurses in providing direct patient care according to established protocols and Oklahoma Board of Nursing guidelinesPerforming duties of a nursing assistant and additional technical skills learned in a nursing education program (after competency completion)Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized patient care environmentScope of Practice:May not perform patient assessments or develop plans of careMay not administer medications, blood products, or IV fluidsMay observe and report patient status to the supervising RNCardiac Monitoring: Evaluating cardiac monitoring equipment and observing EKG rhythms under RN supervisionPatient Education: Participating in planned patient education activities directed by a registered nurseCollaboration & Communication: Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team membersMaintaining confidentiality of patient and employee informationMay not act in a supervisory role or take verbal orders from authorized prescribersThis role offers valuable clinical exposure while ensuring safe, structured practice under RN oversight.St. Mary's provides a supportive environment where imaging professionals can grow, thrive, and make a meaningful impact.
