Ground Segment Systems Engineer

L Cube is seeking a Ground Segment Systems Engineer to work in partnership with a mission‑focused prime contractor in El Segundo, CA, on a top‑priority national security space program. If you excel at blending deep technical expertise with strategic, big‑picture mission awareness, this role positions you at the center of delivering next‑generation military satellite communications capabilities.In this partnered environment, you will collaborate closely with L Cube teammates, our industry partner, support contractors, and U.S. Space Force personnel to design, integrate, and deploy advanced space, ground, and crypto segment solutions. Your ability to translate operational needs into precise technical specifications will directly shape mission success and ensure warfighters receive reliable, resilient, and secure communications capabilities.You Have:10+ years leading or supporting system‑level test programs for DoD space or ground software systemsExperience developing and executing integrated test strategies across DT, integration test, system test, and OTBackground in ground systems engineering, RF/comms/network engineeringMission experience in areas such as Missile Warning or relay ground stationsExpertise writing/deriving requirements, authoring/editing ICDs, reviewing technical documentation, and providing engineering feedbackProven ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams across engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and sustainmentExperience supporting DoD acquisition programs and milestone reviewsStrong knowledge of systems engineering life‑cycle processes (requirements, integration, verification, validation, configuration management)Ability to communicate clearly and deliver objective readiness assessments and risk insights to senior leadershipActive Secret clearanceBachelor’s degree in a STEM fieldNice If You Have:Experience leading agile software programs or test campaignsExperience with CameoExperience with physical and virtual networkingKnowledge of ground systems equipment engineering processesKnowledge of missile warning missions and SBIRSExperience supporting ground segment integration testsAbility to thrive in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environmentExperience with test automation, modeling & simulation, or digital engineering environmentsTS/SCI clearanceMaster’s degree in a STEM fieldLocation : El Segundo, CATravel:Travel may be required to partner and government sites across the United States.
