IT App Developer II in Canton, NY | 100% Onsite | Full Time Schedule: M-F, 8am-5pm | Assignment: 1 year, possible extension Job Summary The IT App Developer II is pivotal to ensuring the stability and enhancement of production-critical manufacturing applications at Corning s Canton, NY facility. This position directly supports plant operations by troubleshooting technical issues, implementing software improvements, and maintaining data integrity within Oracle/SQL environments. Working under the IT Site Manager, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents, deliver solutions, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced, production-focused setting. Key Responsibilities - Deliver day-to-day support for plant manufacturing and business applications, especially Camstar, ONEMES, and in-house systems. - Diagnose, investigate, and resolve application incidents to minimize production downtime. - Develop and modify application functionality using C# and Python, leveraging Visual Studio. - Analyze workflows and business processes to recommend and implement system enhancements. - Write and interpret SQL queries for troubleshooting and data validation in Oracle and SQL Server environments. - Create and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and user training materials. - Adhere to established SOPs, change control, and QA/testing practices. - Coordinate with IT, engineering, and operations teams to prioritize and resolve issues. - Participate in an on-call rotation and provide off-hours support for critical events.
