The Superintendent invites qualified and interested persons to apply for the position of Supervisor- High School Leadership Team
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
New Jersey Department of Education Principal Standard (Preferred) and/or Supervisor Standard license.
Valid New Jersey Teacher Certificate.
Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience in school or District level administration.
Minimum of four (4) years of successful experience in teaching.
Knowledge of New Jersey Student Learning Standards for curriculum, assessment and instruction.
BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Interacting on a daily basis with high schools to provide relevant information about the higher education experience, the college/university admission/financial aid process, and career readiness: Encourage each student to consider a broad range of appropriate college choices and/or career pathways.
Develop a data system for graduating seniors to have a comprehensive and college and/or career pathways timeline, including application deadlines for admission, scholarships and financial aid.
Assist High Schools in monitoring correspondence from colleges and/or technical schools, including offers of admission and financial aid. Provide information regarding high school course selection, test taking skills and basic financial planning to help prepare for future education and career opportunities.
4.Organize group events that encourage students and their families to consider, plan for, and apply to colleges, universities and career opportunities: Conduct assemblies and club meetings to offer services and emphasize the importance of college and careers.
Coordinate programs to visit feeder schools to encourage early planning for college.
Work with local community groups-churches, boys and girls clubs, social-services providers to offer group events outside school settings and hours. Host regular workshops for the families of students to discuss topics such as types of college/career readiness, application/admission processes, scholarships, financial aid, applying for financial aid, the importance of postsecondary education, and opportunities available. Visit local workplaces and employers to establish an array of potential career pathways.
Establish productive working relationships with principals, counselor, teachers, and school to career coordinators in assigned schools and external partners, colleges and universities.
Collaborates with the Supervisors of Bilingual and ESL services, Supervisors in Teaching and Learning and the Supervisors of Special Education to ensure programs are inclusive and tailored to the needs for all learners.
Prepares a budget and program plan that promotes the equitable allocation of College and Career Programs.
Identifies job market trends and tailors program opportunities to ensure that students are on a path to secure employment in high-demand career fields.
11.Collaborates with district leaders in the development of program marketing materials and social media advertising.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of the High Schools.

SALARY, EMPLOYMENT PERIOD, AND UNION AFFILIATION
Salary Range: $107,500 - $143,500
Employment Period: 12 Month Calendar
Union Affiliation: City Association of Supervisors and Administrators (C.A.S.A.)
