Traffic Control Safety Supervisor

We are proud to contribute to the communities we work and live in.Preferred Skills/ Certifications:ATSS certification REQUIREDPrevious Smith driving instructor experience preferredBilingual (English/Spanish) CPR Instructor Cert preferredSafety supervisors are responsible for:Assist field management with implementation of new and existing safety and training programs to meet company requirements and government regulations.Conduct and document focused safety observationsVisit field crews for instructional and hands-on training, job observation, inspections, and verification of program compliance at various outdoor field worksites and outdoor/indoor field facilities, in varied geographic locations, terrains, climates and weather conditions.Ensure the health and safety of the workers, but also of the jobsite, environment, and general public.Inspect the jobsites and identify potential hazards, assess the risks, and report potential hazards and take appropriate action.Investigate incidents to identify their causes and find ways to prevent them in the future.Effectively communicate and collaborate to ensure safety strategies and programs align with expectations and policies.Assist in the response and investigations of significant safety events, such as serious injury or illness, fatalities, regulatory action, etc.Proactively recommend changes to protect workers and educate employees on how to prevent health and safety incidents using safety training programs.Schedule job-site visits and safety audits.Review work requests and assign need resources Review traffic control plans and communicate site plans to field employeesSafety Trainers are additionally responsible for:Schedule and direct safety education and training sessionsSupport Director of Health & Safety: Analyzing safety program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.Communicate safety program needs with Director of Health & SafetyPrepare evaluations and provide insightful written summary reports and recommendations to operations and safety management.Support with coaching, training, with on-site and classroom training to maintain expectations.
