In this high-visibility role, you’ll lead investigations, collaborate with senior leadership, and help ensure the future of air travel remains safe and reliable.What You’ll DoAs a senior member of the Safety & Compliance Investigations team, you will lead critical efforts to identify root causes, resolve compliance concerns, and implement corrective actions that prevent recurrence. Your expertise will help maintain the highest standards of certification and operational safety.Key ResponsibilitiesLead detailed Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations involving regulatory compliance matters, safety findings, and airworthiness concerns.Guide cross-functional engineering teams including Systems, Structures, Payloads, and Propulsion through structured problem-solving processes.Develop comprehensive investigation plans, define problem statements, identify systemic root causes, and recommend effective corrective actions.Coordinate with internal stakeholders, executive leadership, suppliers, and regulatory representatives to ensure alignment and timely resolution.Partner with Organizational Designation Authorization (ODA) teams to ensure investigation documentation meets regulatory expectations.Support continuous improvement initiatives for processes, tools, and future compliance readiness.Communicate technical findings clearly to both engineering and non-technical audiences.What You BringRequired QualificationsBachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry9+ years of related engineering experience or equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong written and verbal communication skillsProven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and complex projectsAbility to work onsite in Everett, WAPreferred QualificationsExperience using RCCA tools such as 5-Whys, Fishbone, or structured problem-solving modelsKnowledge of commercial aircraft operations, certification, and safety proceduresFamiliarity with FAA Regulatory Compliance and ODA proceduresExperience working directly with FAA or other regulatory agenciesBackground in aircraft systems design, analysis, or integration (Flight Controls, Hydraulics, Avionics, Fuel Systems, etc.)Pilot’s License or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) LicenseWhy Join UsAt PDS Tech Commercial, we connect top talent with industry-leading opportunities where innovation matters.
