High School Assistant Principal
Primary Purpose:Support the principal in leading a high-performing campus focused on student achievement, strong culture, and efficient operations. The assistant principal plays a key role in student discipline, attendance, instructional support, and day-to-day campus management.Qualifications:Education/Certification:Master's degreeValid Texas Principal CertificationExperience:Minimum three years of successful teaching experienceLeadership experience preferredSkills:Strong organization and follow-throughClear, direct communicationAbility to build relationships with students, staff, and parentsKnowledge of instruction, data, and classroom managementAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Key Responsibilities:Student Management & Campus Culture:Lead student discipline with consistency and fairnessImplement and uphold the Student Code of ConductSupport attendance systems, interventions, and communication with familiesBe highly visible throughout the day and at campus eventsInstructional Support:Conduct walkthroughs and support the T-TESS processProvide coaching and feedback to teachersSupport PLCs and data-driven instructionReinforce high expectations for teaching and learningCampus Operations:Assist with master schedule and daily operationsHelp coordinate state testing and campus systemsSupervise arrival, dismissal, and transitionsServe as administrator on duty for extracurricular eventsStaff Support:Build strong relationships with staffSupport professional growth and accountabilityAssist with hiring and onboardingCommunication & Systems:Communicate clearly with parents, staff, and studentsSupport campus communication (newsletters, updates, etc.)Maintain accurate documentation for discipline, attendance, and 504 processesOther Duties:Perform additional duties as assigned by the principal Supervisory Responsibilities:Assist in the supervision and evaluation of staffWorking Conditions:Fast-paced environment with frequent interruptionsExtended hours, including evenings and eventsFrequent walking and standing Evaluation:
