For more information, visit www.gf.com.Summary of Role:As a Principal Industrial Engineer, you'll collaborate with other members of the Industrial Engineering department, Advanced Module Engineering, Finance, Facilities, Manufacturing/Operations Engineering & Product Integration teams to support Capital Expenses, assist with fab capacity data and ultimately improve factory output and reduce cycle time. Clear communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are essential for this role. This role is fully onsite at our Fab 8, Malta, NY facility.Essential Responsibilities:Understand Capacity Planning Systems and methods to calculate fab capacity/cycle timeUpdate and run the capacity model for both ramp plans and new product analysesAnalyze capacity output and make recommendations on fab tooling purchases, retrofits or transfersUnderstand and execute on capital processes and support capital execution/trackingCreate detailed documentation of business processes, IE specifications, and operating proceduresSupport various departments in improving factory output using advanced analyticsParticipate in and/or lead process improvement teams and other project technical teamsOther Responsibilities:* Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs* Other responsibilities as assigned by manager / supervisorRequired Qualifications:Education - BS in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Science disciplineExperience - Minimum 4-year relevant technical experience for a high-volume manufacturing company, preferably semiconductor wafer manufacturingProficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)Solid written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable wayDemonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitmentsDemonstrated ability to work well within a cross-functional teamsTravel Requirements: up to 10%Language Fluency: English (both Written & Verbal)Preferred Qualifications:Education: Master's degree in industrial engineering or manufacturing science disciplineKnowledge of Factory Physics and PrinciplesExperience in a Wafer Fab or High-Volume Manufacturing FacilityKnowledge of or training in Capacity PlanningLean six sigma certificationExpected Salary Range$85,000.00 - $146,000.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.If you need a reasonable accommodation for any part of the employment process, please contact us by email at usaccommodations@gf.com and let us know the nature of your request and your contact information.
