Apply via Dice today!Job Title: ServiceNow SAM Pro SpecialistJob Type: Contract / W2Location: RemoteDuration: Long TermInterview Mode: VideoJob Summary:We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow SAM Pro Specialist to manage the full lifecycle of enterprise software assets, ensuring software compliance, license optimization, and audit readiness across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ServiceNow Software Asset Management Professional (SAM Pro), software licensing, asset lifecycle management, compliance auditing, and data analysis.Key Responsibilities:Manage end-to-end Software Asset Management (SAM) lifecycle including procurement, deployment, maintenance, utilization, and retirement of software assets.Configure and utilize ServiceNow SAM Pro for software discovery, normalization, reconciliation, license compliance, and optimization.Track software entitlements, installations, and license consumption across enterprise environments.Perform internal software compliance reviews and support vendor/internal audit requests.Analyze software usage data, contracts, entitlement records, and financial data to identify optimization opportunities.Investigate licensing discrepancies and implement remediation strategies.Support onboarding of new software publishers/products into ServiceNow SAM Pro.Conduct stakeholder interviews, gather business requirements, and document technical/process requirements.Identify redundant or overlapping software products and recommend consolidation opportunities.Support testing, defect resolution, system enhancements, and process improvements.Develop dashboards, reports, compliance documentation, and operational metrics.Required Skills:6+ years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM) or IT Asset Management.Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro implementation and administration.Experience with software licensing models (Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, IBM, etc.).Knowledge of software normalization, reconciliation, entitlements, and compliance management.Experience handling software audits and vendor compliance activities.Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret usage, contract, and financial data.Experience with ITSM / ITAM processes.Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills.Preferred Skills:ServiceNow SAM Pro Certification or ServiceNow certifications.Experience with HAM Pro / ITAM / CMDB / Discovery.Experience in enterprise software consolidation and optimization projects.
