Physician - Gastroenterologist – Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, Shreveport, LA Overton Brooks VA Medical Center is recruiting for a full‑time Gastroenterologist Physician. Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Responsibilities Supervise, mentor, and teach residents and fellows. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower endoscopy, including bleeding control, polypectomy, EMR, PEGS, and dilation. Collaborate with all health professionals throughout the medical center and provide consultation to other services. Maintain basic endoscopic skills and participate in clinical and research activities. Qualifications Board‑eligible or board‑certified in Gastroenterology. Proficiency in basic GI endoscopy procedures including EGD and colonoscopy. Paid Time Off: 50‑55 days of paid leave per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid federal holidays, and up to 5 days of paid absence for CME).
