This individual will focus on the development and configuration of the LabVantage LIMS (v8 or higher), while working collaboratively with all business units. The LabVantage Software Engineer performs application development, having experience in Java-driven Web Applications. This individual will focus on optimizing the LabVantage system and increase the functionality and efficiency by completing custom development, including design, build, and testing of the LabVantage. This requires expertise in Java-driven web applications to include Java and JavaScript as well as SQL (Oracle or SQL Server) and to include other languages like HTML, DHTML, and Web Page Development. Candidate is required to be paid on a W2 hourly basis. A history working with LabVantage LIMS is a requirement, and applicants lack this expertise, our client will not consider unfortunately. Thank you for your understanding.Requirements:Must be authorized to be paid as W2 employee.3+ years of LabVantage development, throughout the entire SDLC (planning, analysis, design, build, test, and maintenance)Experience with development languages which include J2EE framework, Java and JavaScriptExperience working within an Oracle or SQL Server relational databaseOther preferred technical language development experience includes: HTML, DHTML/Web page development, Webservices, Ajax, Groovy and J-QueryAbility to travel up to 10% within a primarily remote position.Ability to work east coast or central time zones.Responsibilities:Performing application development for LabVantage LIMS client projects within the Life Science industriesCreating Java-driven web applications utilizing J2EE framework, Java, and JavaScriptWorking extensively within relational databases which include writing and comprehending SQL (Oracle or SQL Server)Working within other technical daily languages which include: HTML, DHTML or Web Page DevelopmentCollaborating with offshore teams and performing presentations as requiredAssisting with instrument interfacing and other integrations with ERP, Lab Systems, MES, etc.
