Your responsibilities will be in direct support of the KL in all matters pertaining to course set up, building obstacles, marking course, race day operations, tear-down, packing all kids course material, and clean up.Duties/ResponsibilitiesMarking the Kids courseLifting heavy obstacle parts, fencing, tents, and equipmentDriving tent stakes, grade stakes, rebar into the ground with a sledgehammer or malletSetting up barrier jackets and blade flags (branding)Building the Kids course start and finish line areasAssist with Kids course race day operationsBreaking down Kid course obstacles, tents, fencing, flags, and barrier jacketsPacking obstacles into a bundle for transportRemove all course tape and course marking stakesRemove and discard all trash.Neatly packing all remaining Kids course equipment into Kids cratesAs support, you will assist and report to the Kids Lead and Festival Manager and perform all duties and tasks assigned.Attend required meetings and give prior notice to any reason you may not be attendingCommit to a schedule and adhere to arranged travel plansBook travel in a timely mannerRequirementsREQUIREMENTS:Be willing to work in a high paced environmentHave experience operating four-wheel drive and construction type machinery, or be willing to learnBe comfortable traveling, up to 10 days, at a time.Be prepared and comfortable with working outside in challenging conditionsBe physically capable of working long days, 10+ hours consecutivelyBe willing to learn the proper procedures set in place, in regard to Kids course build, obstacle construction, safety, while maintaining an analytical and problem-solving mindset to improve these proceduresMust be able to oversee volunteers with an efficient approach to accomplishing mission and critical tasksBe capable of working closely with childrenBe capable of navigating and utilizing email, Microsoft Office programs, Google Drive and related programs.
