Job DescriptionProject Manager – Custom Home Builder Job SummaryThe Project Manager’s primary responsibility is to oversee new home construction projects from conception to completion. This includes managing, scheduling, and supervising all jobsite activities while adhering to established budgets.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesResponsible for project schedule, quality, and safetyParticipate in interview preparations for negotiated bids and writing bid scopesScheduling and planning of awarded projectsEvaluate and determine appropriate construction methodsManage and ensure project materials are on site at the appropriate timesMaintain proper construction workflows and accounting practicesInspect all work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications and local building codesCommunicate with clients and deliver project progress reportsCoordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractorsEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related discipline preferred 5+ years of new home construction project management experienceOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certifiedExperience reading blueprints OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with project team and stakeholdersExcellent oral and written communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and Builder TrendStrong analytical, organization and time management skillsEffective conflict resolution and interpersonal skillsHigh level of professionalismPhysical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works at the project jobsite exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The employee must be able to walk around the jobsite and navigate various terrain and work areas under construction. Must have the physical ability to climb stairs and ladders and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds. Employee will be required to always wear protective safety equipment while walking the jobsite.
