We unite key stakeholders and support collaborative efforts throughout Summit County.Position OverviewThe Summit Chamber is seeking a highly motivated, community-driven professional to serve as our Membership Coordinator & Community Engagement Manager. This role is central to growing and supporting our membership base while strengthening connections across the local business community.This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a flexible, independent work environment, enjoys building relationships, and wants to be actively involved in the Summit County community.Key Responsibilities:Membership Growth & Retention● Actively recruit new Chamber members through outreach (in-person visits, calls, emails, and networking)● Clearly communicate the value of Chamber membership to prospective businesses● Develop and implement strategies to increase membership and retention Member Engagement & Communication● Serve as the primary member contact, ensuring timely communication and strong relationships● Promote members through digital content, newsletters, and spotlight features● Coordinate member spotlights and communications initiatives● Educate members on how to maximize their Chamber membership Community Engagement & Events● Lead the planning and execution of Chamber events, including Mixers and educational seminars, with full responsibility for logistics and on-site operations from setup through breakdown● Provide support for key flagship events, including the Business Excellence Awards and Ski Area COO Summit Administrative & Organizational Support● Manage the Chamber membership database and ensure accurate records● Respond to phone and email inquiries in a timely and professional manner● Coordinate onboarding for new members● Prepare reports on membership trends and engagement● Support Board communications, including meeting coordination, note-taking, and distribution of minutes● Maintain Chamber documents and upload materials to the website● Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and operations of the ChamberRequired Qualifications● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in administration, communications, or related field● Strong communication and interpersonal skills● Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively● Excellent customer service skills● Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems● Confidence in business development and membership sales● Must be able to lift and carry items up to 30lbs repetitivelyPreferred Qualifications● Experience in membership organizations, nonprofits, or Chambers of Commerce● Familiarity with tools such as Constant Contact, Cognito Forms, and social media platforms● Experience coordinating events or community programsIdeal Candidate● Outgoing, relationship-oriented, and community-minded● Self-starter who thrives in a flexible, remote work environment● Passionate about supporting local businesses and economic development● Must enjoy being actively involved in the community and building connectionsWork EnvironmentThis is a remote/work-from-home position with flexibility in scheduling. The role requires both independent work and regular virtual collaboration, along with in-person attendance at events and meetings as needed. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week). Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required. Overtime is not expected and must be approved in advance. The Chamber provides necessary technology and tools to support employees in this role.Compensation & Benefits● Salary range: $50,000 – $60,000 depending on experience● This is a full-time, salaried non-exempt position● The position does not include traditional benefits such as health insurance or retirement● Employees are eligible for 2 weeks (80 hours) of paid time off (PTO) after 90 days of employment● In accordance with Colorado law, employees accrue paid sick leave at a rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year.
