Full Stack Engineer
Senior Full-Stack Engineer – Founding Ecosystem & Integrations #3150Remote - US only. The MissionEnterprise clients—such as universities, healthcare networks, and cultural institutions—need to connect their core web platforms to the complex tools they already run (CRMs, identity providers, e-commerce, search). As the founding Ecosystem Engineer, you will build the connection framework from scratch. You will take a one-off integration request for a single client (e.g., forms delivery to a CRM, Shibboleth SAML login), turn it into a production-grade Next.js/React reference implementation, and publish the developer docs, connectors, and AI skills so the next hundred clients can self-serve cleanly. The RoleAs a Senior Full-Stack Engineer on the Ecosystem & Integrations team, you will act as a founding integrations architect, taking full ownership of our third-party ecosystem and developer relations practice from 0-to-1.0-to-1 Reference Implementations: Architect, code, and ship production-ready reference applications, integration starter kits, and design patterns using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.Third-Party API & Auth Integrations: Build robust, production-grade connectors interfacing with external REST and GraphQL APIs, webhooks, and enterprise authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, SAML).Developer Documentation & SDKs: Author clear, authoritative developer guides, API references, and integration tutorials that enable third-party developers and enterprise clients to integrate without hand-holding.Reusable Asset Lifecycle: Transform bespoke, single-use client fixes into standardized, reusable open-source modules, developer SDKs/connectors, and AI prompt skills for the broader platform ecosystem.Autonomous Prioritization: Act as the sole owner of integration patterns—deciding what to build, document, and standardize first without waiting for a pre-existing playbook. The "Must-Haves"Experience & Autonomy: Proven track record as a Senior Full-Stack Engineer or Founding Engineer with 0-to-1 experience establishing engineering processes, standards, and architectures from scratch in unstructured environments.Next.js & React Mastery: Deep expertise in building modern, scalable web applications with Next.js, React, and TypeScript.Integration & Auth Depth: Extensive experience connecting third-party systems via REST and GraphQL APIs, handling real-time webhooks, and implementing enterprise OAuth 2.0 or SAML workflows.Technical Writing & DevRel: Exceptional written English skills with a demonstrated ability to write and publish external-facing, self-serve developer documentation.US Location & Hours: Physically based in the United States (US Remote contractor) with full availability for real-time collaboration across US time zones. The "Bonus" SkillsEnterprise Identity Systems: Hands-on experience integrating with enterprise identity providers such as Auth0, Okta, WorkOS, or Shibboleth (especially within higher education or healthcare contexts).E-Commerce & Payments: Prior experience integrating headless commerce solutions or payment gateways (Shopify, BigCommerce, Stripe).DevRel & Community Background: Direct background in Developer Relations, Technical Advocacy, Technical Writing, or early-stage startup founding engineering.AI Integration Assets: Experience packaging integration context into reusable AI skills, system prompts, or automated agent workflows.Personal Traits0-to-1 Builder: You thrive in ambiguous, early-stage environments, taking initiative to create structure, standards, and playbooks where none exist.Product-Minded Engineer: You do not just write code; you deeply understand client workflows and focus on shipping friction-free developer experiences.Empathetic Communicator: You bridge the gap between complex technical implementation and clean, accessible developer documentation.Pragmatic Modularizer: You possess an instinct for recognizing repeatable patterns in custom work and turning them into scalable, reusable building blocks.Resourceful Owner: You operate with high agency, taking full accountability for integration deliverables from initial discovery to public documentation.
