Detox Nurses interact with patients actively and compassionately, encourage engagement in treatment after completion of detoxification, and maintain open lines of communication to ensure the highest quality of patient care is being provided. Innovo Detox nurses are considered full-time at 36 hours. Overtime pay is available for any hours worked beyond 36 hours at time and a half. Additionally, shift differential is available for Friday, Saturday and Sunday overnights. Shift swap is also available for nurses to utilize in place of PTO where able. Innovo offers generous first year PTO and double pay for recognized holidays worked. Detox Nurses are responsible for: Executing prescribed treatments and medical interventions in accordance with procedures established by the Medical Director and the Director of Nursing. Knowledge and ability to provide a full range of nursing care to clients with a variety of withdrawal symptoms, other somatic issues and behavioral health problems. Record patient observations in the patient records accurately and timely in accordance with nursing standards and organizational policies and procedures. Demonstrate skillful, tactful communication with clients who may be physically or mentally ill, uncooperative, fearful and/or agitated. Provide medication education for new patients and/or patients starting new medications. Monitoring of medication by oral, sublingual and inhalation routes and documenting appropriately.
