Your recruiter will provide the most up-to-date details during the hiring process.How you'll make an impact in this roleThe Emergency Medical Tech is a key member of a multidisciplinary ground transport team, providing direct care to patients in intrafacility, and interfacility settings.Providing basic airway management, CPR, and using an AEDEnsuring proper care and safe, efficient transportMaintaining reports and recordsCaring for the vehicle and equipmentUpholding confidentiality and supporting patient/family rights, and serving as a patient advocateWhat minimum requirements you'll needLicensure / Certification / Registration:BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.Emergency Medical Tech specializing in ER Vehicle Operation credentialed from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date required. Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC), or Coaching the Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO) credentialed from Coaching Systems required.Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.Education:* High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience preferred.What additional preferences we're seekingThe Ascension St. Vincent Critical Care Transport (CCT) team, accredited by CAMTS, offers safe, quality, evidence-based, ICU-level transport for adult, neonatal, pediatric, and maternal fetal patients using industry-leading equipment. We are committed to safety, quality care, and community strengthening.
