Deepinvent enables organizations to accelerate innovation, secure competitive advantage, and protect their technologies for the future.Role Description The Artificial Intelligence Engineer will design, build, and optimize machine learning models that power Deepinvent’s innovation engine, with a focus on deep learning, pattern recognition, and NLP. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching and implementing new AI architectures, developing robust software components, integrating models into production systems, and collaborating with product and domain experts to translate innovation workflows into technical solutions. The engineer will analyze large-scale scientific and patent datasets, improve system accuracy and performance, and contribute to IP-related features such as automated prior art synthesis and patent-style content generation. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Austin, TX, requiring close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.QualificationsStrong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, including data structures, algorithms, and production-grade coding practices.Expertise in Neural Networks and Pattern Recognition, with experience designing, training, and evaluating deep learning models on complex datasets.Hands-on experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP), particularly applied to technical, scientific, or legal text corpora.Proficiency with modern ML frameworks and tools (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX) and common data processing libraries (e.g., Python, NumPy, pandas).Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience deploying AI models to production environments, working with APIs, cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in an on-site, multidisciplinary team setting.Familiarity with intellectual property, patents, or legal-tech applications is a plus, as is experience in startup or high-growth environments.
