Vice President, Industrial Operations

Job Summary The Vice President, Industrial Operations is responsible for leading and optimizing all aspects of Manufacturing, Operations, and Supply Chain functions to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of company objectives. This role drives operational excellence, strategic growth, continuous improvement, and cross-functional alignment while upholding the organization's values, profitability, quality standards, and customer commitments. The Vice President, Industrial Operations provides leadership across production, planning, logistics, procurement, inventory management, maintenance, and operational performance initiatives to support long-term business success. JOB DUTIES/ResponsibilitiesLead all Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Planning, Logistics, and related operational functions across the organization.Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to increase efficiency, productivity, and profitability, in line with corporate objectives.Champion a culture of continuous improvement, operational discipline, safety leadership, and high performance throughout the organization.Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational effectiveness, production output, supply chain performance, and cost management.Partner with executive leadership to develop long-term operational strategies, capital investment plans, and organizational objectives.Establish and maintain strict quality control measures, meet ISO, QA, and regulatory standards, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.Optimize supply chain processes including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, transportation, vendor performance, and demand planning.Provide leadership and direction to Directors, Managers, and operational teams while fostering accountability, collaboration, and employee development.Lead troubleshooting and resolution of operational challenges, production disruptions, supply chain constraints, and other critical business issues.Represent the organization at internal and external meetings, industry events, customer engagements, and operational reviews.Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, market conditions, and competitive developments to identify opportunities for operational advancement and innovation.Performs other duties as assigned or discussed with leadership/CEO. EducationBachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field required.Master's degree preferred.Work Experience15+ years' experience in manufacturing, with proven success in improving efficiency, quality, & profitability.5+ years within a leadership role required.Required SKILLS/ABILITIES: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong supervisory and leadership skills.Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, & regulatory complianceStrong strategic planning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills; ability to lead multiple plants or manufacturing divisionsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.QHSE REQUIREMENTS QualityTake responsibility for the sustainability of Axens and ensuring quality performanceReport any and all quality related issues or non-conformities to your managerMaintain awareness, proactively participate and support all Axens policies for quality managementAssist in the continual improvement of an effective Integrated Management System complying with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015Assist in achieving Site, Department, Regional and Global Quality Management Program goals and objectives.
