The target position for this internship is Contract Specialist, GS-1102 with the full performance level of 12. QualificationsApplicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement, including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. ELIGIBILITY: Students who are currently enrolled or accepted for enrollment on at least a half-time basis at a qualifying educational institution in a certificate, degree, or diploma program. Applicants can qualify by meeting the EDUCATION requirements specified below. EDUCATION: GS-4: Completion of 2 full academic years (60 semester or 90 quarter hours) of post-high school study or an associate's degree. Major DutiesThe duties may include, but are not limited to:Major projects will include contract closeouts, market research, reviewing and editing statements of work, and file documentation.Contributes ideas and recommendations to Contract Specialists, providing weekly reports outlining accomplishments and progress.Communicates effectively with all personnel to assure assigned tasks are thoroughly understood and results are achievable.Learns nomenclature, workflow, and procedures for work assignments, and formulates routine reports as requested.Gains knowledge and skills by participating in all requested on-the-job training activities; educational opportunities; and routine tasks.
