HVAC/BAS Controls Application Engineer

Position Description: We are looking for an Application Engineer who is a detail oriented, self-reliant individual with a positive attitude and a solid fundamental understanding of electronics and computers. An HVAC Control System Application Engineer is responsible for the design of temperature controls systems and related products for HVAC systems, engineering documentation, and providing technical support for Project Managers and Field Technicians. An Application Engineer provides the critical link between the project design engineer’s intent and the products Electro Controls represents. Electro Controls is the manufacturer representative for Delta Controls and Accutrol in the state of Montana. Utilizing product solutions, an Application Engineer provides the project team with a detailed, customized design that will allow our team to successfully provide the end-user an HVAC system that exceeds the design engineer’s intent. Review approved project plans, specifications, and scope of work to design system. Create submittal packages based on project specifications. Research existing or specified mechanical systems to determine the best integration method. Design application specific programs. Create custom graphical user interface pages with Tridium Workbench software. Perform system testing and functional test at completion of each project. Provide customers with technical solutions that support their business objectives. Training: Extensive hands-on training is provided to a successful applicant. This training covers all aspects of HVAC temperature controls and the day-to-day responsibilities of an Application Engineer as mentioned above. Continuous training is also provided for all Application Engineers within our organization to allow growth of the individual and to accelerate organizational growth. Qualifications: Proficient in CAD and Visio software, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Bluebeam, and strong PC skills. Ability to read and understand schematics, equipment specifications, construction material, and design specifications. A basic understanding of HVAC/R. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates attention to detail. Team oriented and self-motivated.
