Aurora's skilled mental health technicians support individuals with a wide range of emotional and mental health issues.Socialization/Leisure/RecreationOur staff has the advantage of facilitating recreational leisure activities that create opportunities to meet others, engage in social interactions, and develop friendships. Supporting participation in fun social outings and creative activities allows our consumers to pursue their interests, experience new things, and be more involved in their communities.Seek out opportunities for community/social integration that enables new and exciting experiencesHelp consumers plan and prepare their choice of fun events and outingsCreate entertaining individual and group activitiesConsumer AdvocacyAssist/teach skills that create opportunities for socialization and community engagementUtilize consumer strengths to build new skills, achieve goals, and enhance quality of independent livingSuggest changes to improve consumer lifestyleSeek out opportunities for new and exciting experiencesMedication/HealthAccompany consumers to scheduled medical appointments and communicate changes in medications, treatment orders, or therapiesReport changes in consumer's medical condition or eating habits immediately to supervisorFollow prescribed special dietary programsImplement procedures for infection control in compliance with Infection Control Policy and Exposure Control PolicyExercise sanitary food service, housekeeping, and laundry practicesEssential Functions/Requirements:2 years of experience mental health/substance abuse disorders18 years of ageAcceptable Background Character VerificationAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.
