What You'll Be DoingOperate heavy equipment on a variety of job sites consisting of milling, paving, base repair, overlay Maintains housekeeping of job site and facilities, ensures equipment is in good working order Performs routine inspection and preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment if within abilities; escalates issues that are not Routinely assists other members of the crew as needed, including shoveling and cleanup Fuel, oil and grease to ensure proper function of equipment and complete associated paperwork Performs other related activities as assigned What Are We Looking ForHigh School Diploma (or equivalency) AND prior relevant job experience CDL license (A or B) with Tanker endorsement is preferred Valid/Clean Drivers License Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Must have the ability to work a varied schedule of day shift, night shift, and weekends due to construction contracts Ability to operate and maintain heavy equipment (paver, skid steer, asphalt roller experience preferred) Working knowledge of methods, materials and tools used in typical site work, grading, storm/sanitary/water pipe installation, etc Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions Conditions of EmploymentSuccessful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Work EnvironmentRole operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level. What We Offer$36.00 per hour base pay. (PA DOL Prevailing wage pay based on work.)
