EHS Engineer
Position Title: EHS Engineer Location: Reedsville Pennsylvania 17084 Duration: 6 months Hours per Week: 40 (8 hrs/day) Job Title: EHS Engineer From the manager - • Support EHS administrative tasks, including: o Monthly EHS and sustainability reporting o Collecting data from plants and vendors, consolidating into Excel, and integrating into Philips sustainability tools • Assist with incident investigations, corrective action plans, and compliance tracking • Maintain and update EHS documentation and records • Support and help improve ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 certified EHS management systems • Provide EHS support and guidance related to environmental and safety opportunities on the production floor • Create and deliver digital EHS communications, such as: o Posters, videos, toolbox talks, and sustainability tips o Monthly EHS or sustainability-focused messaging • Drive process improvements and efficiency, including automation and waste circularity initiatives In this role, you will have the opportunity to: • Assist in maintaining and continuously improving the ISO 45001:2018 & ISO 14001:2015 certified EHS management systems • Provide advice, support, and technical guidance to the EHS team regarding environmental & safety opportunities on the production floor • Create and implement digital media for communication such as posters, videos, toolbox talks, etc. Duties And Responsibilities will include: • Creating digital media for EHS programs • Improving departmental efficiency through automation • Participating in incident investigations and providing valuable input for corrective actions • Assisting in increasing process generated waste circularity and sustainability • Updating existing EHS documentation as required To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience: • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously across numerous departments • Basic understanding of General Industry OSHA standards • Basic knowledge of EPA and DOT regulations a plus • Demonstrated planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills • Proven analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Automate, Power BI, and Adobe Rush a strong plus • Familiarity with ISO standards a plus Skills & Experience Required • Ability to manage multiple projects across departments in a fast-changing environment • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving capabilities • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong computer skills, especially: o Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook o Experience with Power Automate, Power BI, and Adobe tools (especially Adobe Rush) is a strong plus • Basic understanding of: o General Industry OSHA standards o EPA and DOT regulations (plus) • Familiarity with ISO standards is a plus • Analytical mindset with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills Nice-to-Have / Value-Add Skills • General understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations • Experience with digital marketing or digital communication within an EHS or manufacturing environment • Interest in sustainability, continuous improvement, and process optimization
