Paint Hanger - 3rd Shift

Job SummaryThe Paint Hanger is responsible for preparing electrical enclosures and related components for the powder coating process by reading work instructions, properly hanging parts onto load bars, and directing items through the appropriate paint booths. This role ensures accurate identification, proper handling, and efficient routing of materials to support production flow and quality standards.The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:Duties/ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret work instructions to determine product specifications, including paint color and processing requirementsHang electrical enclosures and components onto load bars in preparation for the powder coating processEnsure parts are securely positioned and properly spaced to allow for complete and even coatingTag each part or load bar accurately with the designated paint color and job informationUse a computer system to assign and direct load bars to the appropriate paint booth based on specificationsMonitor and control conveyor routing to ensure materials are sent to the correct booth in a timely mannerInspect parts prior to hanging for defects, debris, or damage and report any issues to the supervisorMaintain production flow by prioritizing work and minimizing delays in the paint line processAssist with un-hanging or repositioning parts as needed to ensure quality standards are metKeep work area clean, organized, and free of hazardsFollow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of required PPEPerforms basic maintenance and cleaning as requiredCollaborate with team members and supervisors to improve workflow and efficiencyPerform other duties as assignedRequired Skills/AbilitiesAbility to read and follow detailed work instructions and production documentsBasic computer skills for routing and tracking production through paint boothsStrong attention to detail and accuracy in tagging and routing materialsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentGood communication and organizational skillsDependable with a strong work ethic and attendance recordEducation And Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious manufacturing or production experience is a plus Experience using basic computer systems is requiredOn-the-job training will be providedPhysical RequirementsProlonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking 8-10 hours depending on the task. Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, reach, maneuver, and lift up to 50 pounds Frequent use of hands and arms to hang, tag, and adjust partsAbility to bend, reach, and work at varying heightsThe use of approved Safety Glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots are required. Gloves may be required depending on certain tasks assigned.
