OverviewKimley-Horn's Frisco, Texas (TX) office is seeking a Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of experience to join their Natural Gas team. This is not a remote position.ResponsibilitiesAs a critical member of the team, you will perform a variety of civil engineering tasks, collaborate with team members and have the opportunity to supervise team members and manage projects. You will receive both on-the-job and formal training as well as mentorship, camaraderie, and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions.Pipeline DesignHorizontal Directional Drill DesignNatural Gas Metering and Regulation StationsFederal, State and Local PermittingClient Management, contractor coordination and project manager assistanceComplex problem solving and collaborate across disciplinesPre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects ranging in size and scope.Qualifications2+ years of relevant engineering design experienceValid driver's license requiredEIT License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skillsStrong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlinesDetail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environmentExperience with design and permitting.Experience with task management, concept design, and assisting project management tasksFamiliar with coordinating with clients, attending client meetings, and overseeing quality standardsWorking knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3DAbility to build plan sets and other construction documentsWhy Kimley-Horn?At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
