M365 Front-end Developer, Web Publisher, #1042Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a positive adjudication for a Public TrustWe are seeking a mid-level M365 Front-End Developer / Web Publisher to support Operations and Maintenance activities for a component of a federal agency. This role supports internal and external websites using Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Drupal, and related technologies.This is a full-time position with a standard work schedule of 9:45 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday. The selected candidate will join a collaborative team of developers, analysts/testers, and web publishers supporting mission-critical government websites and applications. What You'll Be Doing  Provide development, operations, and maintenance support for SharePoint Online (M365) intranet environmentsSupport requirements gathering, documentation, and customer demonstrationsPublish and maintain content on public-facing (Drupal) and intranet (M365) websitesProvide testing support for monthly release deployments, including unit, regression, and accessibility testingSupport short turnaround publishing requests in a deadline-driven environmentParticipate in an on-call rotation (~1 week per month) to provide after-hours emergency publishing support (approximately 4–5 calls per month)Troubleshoot site issues in coordination with platform engineers and Microsoft supportMonitor Microsoft Message Center for platform updates and changesDefine and validate acceptance criteria for website featuresProvide solution recommendations during team and client meetingsCollaborate with external agencies on U.S. Web Design System (USWDS) features and releasesMaintain compliance with Section 508 accessibility requirements Required Education, Skills, and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience)1–3 years of experience designing, building, maintaining, and publishing business or government websites3–5 years of experience working with Microsoft 365 platforms, including SharePoint OnlineExperience with responsive website design and Section 508 accessibility standardsExperience gathering and documenting business and technical requirementsExperience publishing content to public and intranet sites (Drupal CMS experience preferred)Experience supporting structured testing activities (unit, regression, accessibility)Proficiency with HTML 5, CSS, and JavaScript (JQuery, Bootstrap, etc.)Experience with SharePoint Online and Power Platform (including Power Automate)Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across platforms and systemsAbility to work the required Eastern Time Zone scheduleFamiliarity with U.S. Web Design System (USWDS)Experience with Adobe Creative Suite for image editingExperience supporting branded government websitesExperience designing pages and layouts for large branded sites under short deadlines.Strong background building prototypes, wireframes, and visualizations to help clients articulate design requirements.Deep understanding of color theory, typography, and layout.Experience Applying UI/UX design principles to your work from page layouts to entire site designs.Strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholdersStrong attention to detailCustomer-focused mindsetAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work independently and as part of a teamMust be able to provide examples of your website design work. Preferred Education, Skills, and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in the humanities with strong work experience in a technical field preferredExperience redesigning large websites a plus.M365 certification(s) desiredGoogle UX Design Certification is a plusDrupal CMS experience preferredWho We AreDev Technology is a growing IT company with an employee-centric culture that works on mission-critical projects for the federal government.
