This role is responsible for performing cycle counts, researching discrepancies, reconciling inventory issues, and maintaining accurate system records.The ideal candidate is comfortable working both on the floor and in the system, has a strong eye for detail, and can partner effectively with warehouse, production, and purchasing teams to improve inventory accuracy and support operational efficiency.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform daily, weekly, and scheduled cycle counts to verify inventory accuracyInvestigate and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and system recordsMaintain accurate inventory data, including item locations, quantities, and transactions within ERP and/or WMS systemsReview and analyze cycle count results to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvementPartner with Warehouse, Production, Purchasing, and other internal teams to support inventory control processesAudit inventory locations and material transactions for accuracy and complianceUse barcode scanners, RF devices, and reporting tools to support inventory control activitiesAssist with root cause analysis and corrective actions related to inventory variancesSupport physical inventory counts and other inventory-related initiatives as neededHelp maintain an organized, accurate, and efficient inventory environmentQualificationsPrevious experience in inventory control, cycle counting, warehouse operations, or a related roleExperience working with ERP systems and/or warehouse management systemsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with reports and dataExperience using barcode scanners, RF devices, or similar inventory toolsStrong attention to detail and a high level of accuracyStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of inventory reconciliation, auditing, and transaction controlFamiliarity with continuous improvement or process improvement practicesWhy Join Schaefer PlasticsAt Schaefer Plastics, you will be part of a team that values quality, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
