Job Id : IT Job Title : Senior Websphere Portal Engineer Job Description : The Portal Engineer will play a Key role within the middleware operations team. The incumbent will act as Team Player and the individual will be primarily responsible for building middleware infrastructure and delivering application teams value-add services including performance tuning, capacity management, and systems integration. Summary of Responsibilities and Duties Design, Install, Configure and provide 24x7 support for middleware products Develop automation scripts for configuration, code deployment, log rotation, patch upgrades, backup and restoration Manage resolution of WebSphere issues, including break-fix, performance tuning recommendations, and project support Installation, Administration and support of web and application servers (JBoss and Tomcat) Application Requirements and Process Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Preferred Skills IBM Certified System Administrator - WebSphere Portal Server Experience on Websphere Portal and IBM Lotus Connections Good knowledge of LDAP, Tivoli Directory Server Experience in following ITIL Change and Release Management process Experience : 5+ year experience with Web and Application servers Ability to work independently, with excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong analytical, communication and teamwork skills.Experience in developing Automation scripts for Installation and Code Deployment.
