Accounting Manager
NEATO Las Vegas, NVAccounting ManagerFull-Time On-Site Finance $115,000 – $140,000 DOEAbout NeatoNeato is one of the most operator-focused companies in enterprise eCommerce. We buy inventory, become the seller of record on Amazon, and run the entire channel end-to-end for brands doing $20M–$300M+ in revenue. No hand-waving. No strategy decks. We own outcomes.Finance is the spine of an operator-led business. The faster we move, the more disciplined the books have to be. This role makes that possible. What This Role Actually IsThis is the seat that runs accounting at Neato. You own the close, you own the books, you own the reporting that lands in front of leadership every month. You also own the build — the systems, the controls, and the upgrades that take the function from where it is today to where it needs to be next year. This is not an assist role. You are the function. You'll lead with the support of leadership and the external CPA, but the day-to-day standard, accuracy, and pace of finance is yours. You'll partner directly with the CEO and the broader leadership team. Every department touches finance, and every department head will know you by name. The seat is built so the right person grows into Controller as the business scales. If you've spent your career inside someone else's accounting system and you're ready to build one that actually works — this role is for you. What You'll Own The full close — Run month-end and year-end close start to finish. Accruals, prepaids, journal entries, supporting schedules, ledger integrity. On schedule, every month, without drama. Financial reporting — Prepare and deliver clean P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow to leadership monthly. Translate numbers into something the business can actually act on. The accounting cycle — AP, AR, GL, reconciliations, payroll partnership, expense management. You don't have to do every transaction yourself, but you own the standards and the accuracy of every number. Audit and tax readiness — Partner with the external CPA on annual audit and tax filings. Documentation is complete and organized year-round, not assembled in a panic in March. Systems and process — Evaluate, select, and improve the tools and workflows finance runs on. Build the controls a high-growth company needs — approval flows, segregation of duties, vendor onboarding, expense policies — and document them so they survive without you. Cross-functional partnership — Work alongside HR on payroll and headcount cost, with operations on inventory accounting and COGS, and with leadership on cash forecasting and decisions that need a number.A TYPICAL WEEK✓ Reviewing close progress against the calendar and unblocking anything off-pace✓ Reconciling complex accounts, reviewing journal entries, and signing off on the GL✓ Preparing weekly cash flow and forward-looking forecasts for leadership✓ Sitting with leadership on a question about a number — and having the answer✓ Pushing systems and process upgrades forward — one workflow, one vendor record, one report at a time✓ Partnering with HR on bi-weekly payroll and any comp / benefits accounting✓ Reviewing vendor agreements, AP aging, and any disputes that need to escalateMUST HAVE✓ 6+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years owning the close end-to-end✓ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field✓ Deep QuickBooks Online expertise — you've run it as a system of record, not just used it✓ Strong GAAP fluency and a working knowledge of accrual accounting in an operating business✓ Excel / Google Sheets at a financial-modeling level — pivots, lookups, conditionals, model-building✓ Track record of building or migrating an accounting system, not just maintaining one✓ Direct experience producing financial reporting that leadership actually uses to make decisions✓ Clear, direct communication — you can explain a number to a non-finance leader in one sentence✓ Ability to operate without hand-holding and without ego — you ask for what you need and own what you commit toBONUS POINTS★ CPA, CMA, or actively pursuing one★ Experience in eCommerce, marketplace, or inventory-heavy businesses (Amazon 2P / FBA a strong plus)★ Hands-on experience with modern AP automation and corporate-card platforms★ Background scaling a finance function inside a high-growth company★ Experience supporting investor, lender, or PE-grade reporting cadence★ Prior experience managing or mentoring a junior accountant or bookkeeperHow Success Is Measured At 12 MonthsClose disciplineMonth-end close on schedule, every month, no surprisesReporting confidenceLeadership trusts every number on the first readSystems & toolingAccounting stack upgraded, documented, built to scaleAudit readinessAnnual audit finishes on time with zero material adjustmentsControlsApproval workflows, vendor onboarding, expense policy in placePartnershipFinance described as the team that helps us decideWho Thrives Here✓ You're a builder. You inherit messes, you don't make them, and you'd rather build a clean system than patch a broken one✓ You think like an operator, not just an accountant. You read a P&L and see decisions, not just numbers✓ You're calm under deadline pressure. The close has to happen. Drama is not a finance trait✓ You're confident pushing back on leadership when the number doesn't support the decision — and right enough often enough that they listen✓ You're comfortable being the only finance-specific seat for now, and excited about building toward a Controller role as the business scales✓ You like the eCommerce / marketplace world, or you're hungry to get into itHow This Role FitsThis role reports to the CEO. The CEO sets the direction. The CPA handles tax and audit. You own everything in between — the books, the close, the reporting, the controls, the systems, and the partnership across the business. This is the chance to take an operator-led eCommerce business and build the finance function that carries it forward — not maintain someone else's system, but build the one that works.Neato 2026 Equal opportunity employer.
