CASHIER

We are seeking a friendly and hard-working Automotive Parts/Retail Cashier to join our team! As a Cashier, you will ring up sales, take payments, and issue receipts. You will provide excellent customer service by ensuring that all transactions run smoothly. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in customer service and must have knowledge of cash register procedures.Responsibilities:Greet each customer with a smile and actively assist while they are checking outAccurately record prices and collects payments.Responsible for accurate balancing of the cash drawer.Follows and implements correct accounting procedures for all voids, returns, exchanges, and department transfers.Accurately collects cash, checks, or charge payments from customers and makes changes when required on cash transactions.Verifies identification for authenticity and signature when processing checks and credit card purchases.Issue receipts and refunds to customersParticipate in product promotion events and initiatives to drive salesMaintain a solid knowledge of product inventory to assist customers with their selectionsQualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentBasic math skills to handle cash transactionsPrevious experience in an automotive parts or retail sales role is required.Previous cashier experience preferred.Ability to read, count, write, and communicate clearly and effectivelyUnderstanding of sales techniques and best practices in customer serviceStrong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectivelyWillingness to work well in a team environmentBilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred but not requiredAbility to quickly and accurately work a registerWillingness to work a flexible scheduleHourly plus bonus Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position and does not include every task or responsibility that may be required.
