Operations Manager

Title: Operations Manager Location: Remote Client Industry: Professional Services Compensation: $45-$60/hr. We have partnered with our client in their search for a Operations Manager. The Operations Manager oversees reconciliation, accounting adjustment, and reporting activities for separately managed accounts and private funds. This role partners with custodian banks, Senior Associates, Core Operations, and internal operations leadership to resolve breaks, improve data flows, and strengthen use of SimCorp reconciliation tools. Success is measured by timely break resolution, accurate month-end reporting, reliable records, and improved automation of exception-based workflows. ResponsibilitiesPerform daily, monthly, and ad hoc account reconciliations for separately managed accounts and private fundsMaintain accurate reconciliation records and supporting documentationInvestigate and resolve coupon, paydown, transaction, and other reconciliation breaks between custodian bank records and SimCorpPrepare month-end reporting and accounting support that reconciles custodian bank records to SimCorp recordsPartner with custodian banks to improve the accuracy, timeliness, and flow of informationDevelop expertise in SimCorp reconciliation tools to support automation and exception-based reportingCommunicate issues, custodian-related concerns, and workflow improvement opportunities to Senior Associates and operations leadershipEnsure accurate posting of routine payment-related accounting adjustments in SimCorpRespond to ad hoc requests sent to Core OperationsSupport training, onboarding, and project work as neededSkills RequiredAccount reconciliation experience across daily, monthly, and ad hoc processesKnowledge of separately managed accounts, private funds, or similar investment account structuresAbility to investigate and resolve coupon, paydown, transaction, and custodian reconciliation breaksExperience with SimCorp or comparable investment accounting and operations platformsProficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and broader Microsoft Office Suite toolsUnderstanding of month-end reporting and accounting-related reconciliation supportAbility to work directly with custodian banks and internal operations stakeholdersStrong documentation skills with attention to record accuracy and audit-ready supportAbility to identify workflow improvements and support automation of manual processesProfessional judgment and accountability in handling operational issues and sensitive financial recordsEducation & Work ExperienceBachelor's degree in business administration, finance, human resources, or a related field from an accredited college or university5+ years of experience in finance, human resources, resource management, marketing, general business operations, or a related business areaExperience with account reconciliation, investment operations, or fund operations preferredRef ID About Korn Ferry Korn Ferry unleashes potential in people, teams, and organizations.
