Role/Title Infrastructure Engineer - Mainframe Location Plano Texas 75024 Duration: 06 months Contract to hire Job Description Ability to consultatively articulate complex technical findings to more experienced management in clear, concise, understandable terms Proficient knowledge and understanding in the following key areas: Hardware Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations) Hardware Benchmarking (Agile, program managements, network management) Design (compliance, security) Network Engineering (planning, provision) Proficient in more than one specific infrastructure technology This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including: * *BS/BA degree or equivalent experience* * Provide technical expertise throughout the software lifecycle including design, implementation and delivery. * Understanding or have experience with agile and lean philosophies * Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills with clear communication * Ability to collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals * Hands-on experience performing CICS systems programming and problem resolution in a mainframe z/OS sysplexed operating system environment with “Intermediate-level” knowledge and understanding of both CICS and OEM products and how they interact. Ability to read CICS dumps and traces is a plus. * Thinks creatively to deliver solutions through continuous improvement * Knowledgeable across CICS Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations), Design (compliance, security), Connectivity (planning, securing) * Understanding in the following platform products and features within z/Series CICS: CICS Transaction Server, CICS Plex System Manager(CPSM, WUI) , VSAM RLS, CICS Webservices(CWS, Sockets, IPIC, TCPIP), CICS Security(Keyring, Certificates, TLS, resource access, ACF2, RACF), USS (Unix Systems Services), CICS connectivity (LU6.2, MRO, ISC, CWS, Sockets, TCPIP, EXCI) * Knowledge of these OEM products: CAFC, SYSII, Mainview, Xpediter, Abend-aid/FX * Knowledge of SYSPLEX and CICSPLEX design, architecture, support Job Type: Contract Pay: $27.18 - $70.73 per hour Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Health insurance Schedule: * 8 hour shift Experience: * Mainframe development: 9 years (Required) * CICS: 9 years (Required) * COBOL: 9 years (Required) * OEM: 10 years (Required) Work Location: In person
