About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Self Storage Facility Manager to oversee the daily operations of our storage facility and ensure a clean, secure, and welcoming environment for our customers.
This position plays a key role in maintaining the success of the facility through excellent customer service, strong operational oversight, and proactive property management. The manager is responsible for handling rentals, assisting tenants, maintaining the facility, and ensuring occupancy goals are met.
This is a hands-on leadership role that requires someone who is organized, self-motivated, and comfortable managing both administrative tasks and on-site operations. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a well-run facility and delivering a positive experience for every customer.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility while maintaining high standards of professionalism, safety, and organization.
Deliver outstanding customer service by assisting tenants with rentals, payments, account inquiries, and general support.
Guide prospective tenants through the rental process, helping them select the appropriate unit and completing lease agreements accurately.
Maintain strong facility presentation by conducting regular property inspections and ensuring grounds, units, and common areas remain clean and well maintained.
Monitor facility activity and enforce lease agreements, policies, and security procedures.
Manage delinquent accounts by performing collection calls and maintaining accurate tenant records.
Process payments, leases, and required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Track office and maintenance supply levels and coordinate restocking when necessary.
Stay informed about local competitors and market conditions to help support occupancy and pricing strategies.
Provide occasional operational support at nearby facility locations when needed.
Qualifications
1–2 years of experience in self storage, property management, retail management, or a related customer-facing role preferred.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities throughout the day.
Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Comfortable working independently while maintaining accountability for facility performance.
Basic math and computer skills for payment processing and account management.
Experience with SiteLink or similar property management software is a plus.
Experience with collections, account management, or sales is highly beneficial.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Ability to assist at nearby facilities when needed.
Schedule
Full-time position
Typical 8-hour shifts
Availability required on weekdays and weekends
Primarily morning and daytime hours
