In-Market Internal Wholesaler New York Life Investments is offering a distinctive opportunity for an experienced sales professional to step beyond the traditional home-office internal role and work directly in the field alongside an External Wholesaler. This position combines in-person meetings with financial advisors and traditional internal wholesaling responsibilities, providing an opportunity to develop deeper client relationships, hands-on market experience, and career advancement.About the Role As a In-Market Internal Wholesaler, you will be a key supporting partner to your External Wholesaler, working collaboratively to drive sales, strengthen advisor relationships, and support the overall growth of the territory. You will play a crucial role in driving sales and deepening relationships with financial advisors by being a trusted, consultative partner. Your success hinges on adding value beyond product discussions, positioning yourself as a strategic resource for advisors seeking market insights, portfolio solutions, and business growth strategies.What You'll Do: Build and manage relationships with financial advisors through in-person meetings, phone outreach, and virtual interactionsExecute and support your External Wholesaler in creating and implementing strategic sales plans for the territoryEducate and advise financial advisors on investment solutions, including mutual funds, ETFs, and SMAs, while providing asset allocation insightsBe a student of the markets by staying ahead of economic trends, product innovations, and industry shifts to provide relevant insights that elevate advisor conversationsEngage in a consultative sales approach by asking the right questions, uncovering advisor needs, and delivering tailored solutions that drive meaningful engagementDeliver value-add solutions by equipping advisors with actionable ideas, industry best practices, and tools that help them grow their business and better serve their clientsExpand and deepen territory growth by identifying new business opportunities and strengthening existing client relationshipsPosition yourself as a go-to resource by consistently delivering insights, sharing thought leadership, and fostering long-term partnershipsMaintain and optimize CRM data and sales tracking systems to ensure efficiency and proactive engagementCoordinate and contribute to the planning of conferences, seminars, and advisor meetings to maximize market engagementUphold a structured, distraction-free work environment at home, ensuring high productivityWhat You'll Bring: Must reside in either Louisiana or Southern Mississippi and be able to travel as neededAt least 2 years of experience in asset management sales or as a Financial AdvisorFINRA Series 7 & 63 licenses are requiredBachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field is preferredPassionate about financial markets, investments, and ongoing learningCurious mindset with strong questioning skills to uncover advisor needsDriven to become a key partner to advisors through knowledge, service, and strategySkilled in executing sales strategies, tracking results, and adjusting to market trendsProven track record of sales success and strong advisor relationshipsAble to maintain a dedicated, productive work-from-home environmentSolid understanding of investments including mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs, and capital marketsStrong presentation, communication, and relationship-building skillsSelf-starter who works well independently and with an External WholesalerWilling to travel to the NYC home office at most two times per yearPay TransparencySalary Range: $70,000 + Sales IncentivesOvertime eligible: ExemptDiscretionary bonus eligible: NoSales bonus eligible: YesActual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
