Estate Planning Paralegal
Position Title: Estate Planning & Administration ParalegalPosition Summary:This role is an integral part of a legal services team, providing support to multiple attorneys with the shared goal of delivering high-quality service to clients. The position requires a versatile skill set and is well-suited for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in legal concepts related to estate planning and administration.Key Responsibilities:Prepare federal estate and gift tax filings, along with projections related to taxable estates.Conduct financial and asset valuations and perform calculations to support estate administration.Assist with the drafting of estate planning documents and supporting materials.Prepare, review, and facilitate recording of property-related documents, including conducting electronic land record searches.Draft and file probate-related documents across multiple jurisdictions.Communicate with clients and third-party professionals (such as financial advisors and accountants) regarding estate and planning matters.Provide support for litigation matters involving estates, including document organization and case preparation.Collaborate with attorneys and other professionals on assigned matters and projects.Act as a point of contact between the legal team, clients, and other involved parties.Track and maintain time records for work performed on client matters.Organize and maintain case files, correspondence, and documentation.Monitor ongoing estate and trust matters to ensure timely progress and communication.Work collaboratively with administrative and legal staff to ensure completion of tasks.Job Requirements:Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certification preferred.Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant paralegal experience in estate planning, administration, or tax-related areas.Strong attention to detail and proofreading ability.Solid understanding of legal principles and procedures.Familiarity with probate processes and preparation of fiduciary income and transfer tax filings.Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on client service.
