Category Manager (Consumer Products)Location: Hybrid in Burbank, CaliforniaContract Duration: 3-months contract with possible extensionPay Range: $40.00 - $43.25/hrWe deliver the best consumer products (Toys) in support of brands with a forward-thinking approach to best position for success in an ever-evolving marketplace.Job Responsibilities / Typical Day in the RoleResponsible for managing specific product categories within Toys including, but not limited to, Activities, STEM/STEAM, and amusement toys.Identifies Licensee prospects, evaluates opportunity and executes long-term new business initiativesNegotiates and outlines key deal terms for licensed partnerships including new as well as modifying and extending existing licensing agreementsAssists in development and execution of medium- and long-term category strategies (1-3 years out)Owns annual initiatives, revenue plans and execution of product categories managedPlans and monitors quarterly forecast and annual budget for categories of responsibilityDrives licensee relationships in partnership with Product Development counterpartsPartners with Licensees, Franchise, Creative and Retail Business Development to drive key initiativesParticipate in business updates, internal and external formal presentations and strategy discussionsPartners with Insights to identify and apply competitive and industry key learnings and trendsMust Have Skills / RequirementsDeal Term Negotiation: 5+ years; Contracts analysis experience.Project Management: 5+ years; Ability to manage multiple deadlines and project within a fast-paced environment. Not looking for Project Managers.Excel and PowerPoint experience: 5+ years; Potential to build decks and present depending on skillset of candidate.
