Network Firewall EngineerHouston, TX – Hybrid --------------W2 role (ONLY ON W2)Mandatory Skills : AWS Infra Services, F5 Load Balancer, SSE - Cisco Umbrella/Secure Access, SSE - Palo Alto Prisma, Network Load BalancingWhat You Will DoDefine and govern enterprise network security architecture standards and control frameworksLead security design for largescale initiatives including cloud transformations MA integrations and critical infrastructureAct as a trusted advisor on network security risk compliance and audit readinessCollaborate with cybersecurity infrastructure and operations teams to ensure endtoend secure solutionsDrive proactive lifecycle vulnerability and resiliency improvements across network security platformsInfluence technology roadmaps investment decisions and longterm security postureKnowledge of OTICSSCADA environments from the network security perspective including Purdue zoning and segregation techniques between business and operational networksSupport application teams in designing redundant highavailability architectures with failover and recovery capabilitiesManage and maintain load balancer and network security infrastructure including upgrades patching and integrationEnsure network security infrastructure complies with Enbridge policies and industry best practices across enterprise SCADA and control systems environmentsLead and support business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives while participating in oncall rotation and maintaining a strong focus on operational excellenceWho You AreRelated university degree OR a twoyear technical diploma with 6 years of experience in network security architecture and enterprise infrastructureProven expertise Load Balancing technologies such as Citrix Netscalers and F5 BigIP as well Azure Front DoorProven expertise in firewalls IPS WAF PKI DNS encryption technologies and cloud security solutionsStrong understanding of networking fundamentals protocols OSI model and secure application design with multilayered security approachesKnowledgeable in UNIX environments and scripting eg Bash PythonDemonstrated strength in regulatory compliance audit readiness risk management and detailed technical documentationExcellent understanding of designing building maintaining load balancer infrastructureSolid understanding of core network security components including firewalls DNS and encryption technologies SSLTLS PKI OpenSSL ciphersGood understanding of Authentication mechanisms such as SLDAP RADIUS SAML including Multi Factor AuthenticationExcellent analytical troubleshooting organizational and written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence through technical expertiseWorking ConditionsFastpaced highpressure environment with strict operational deadlinesMix of officebased work with occasional field or infrastructurerelated activitiesParticipation in an oncall rotation including evenings and weekends and availability during emergencies
