This is a 6-month contract with potential for extension.Position Overview:This is not a confidential replacement. The Interim DON will play a key leadership role in maintaining and advancing clinical operations, staff development, and regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities & Priorities:Ensure nursing compliance, including:Onboarding of traveling staffOrientation and competency validationContinue building and strengthening teamwork across all departmentsFocus on improving communication:Leadership → staffStaff → leadershipSupport clinical operations, including willingness to assist on the floor (“push the cart”) in emergency staffing situationsFacility Details:Census: 16–20 residentsStaffing ratio: approximately 4–5 residents per staff memberStrong, collaborative IDT teamRecent survey: April 1, 2026 (complaint survey)Upcoming: Annual survey window this month or nextSchedule & Expectations:On-call required (shared; details discussed during interview)Leadership presence and hands-on support expectedRequirements:Prior Director of Nursing (DON) experience requiredStrong background in long-term care (LTC)Proven experience with compliance, surveys, and staff development
