Temporary Part-time Financial Aid Assistant

Title: Temporary Part-time Financial Aid Assistant Department: Financial Aid Campus: Hardin Valley Campus Closing Date: Open Until FilledType of Appointment: Temporary Part-Time Pay Rate: $15.38/Hr *If you are a PSCC Student and eligible for the Student Employment Program, you will be paid on experience and the rates are $13.00 (no experience), $14.00 (6 months experience) and $15.00 (9 months experience)*. Work Hours: 20 hours per week Position Summary: The overall purpose of this job is to provide accurate information to Pellissippi State students using a student-focused approach and providing an exceptional and seamless service experience that supports student success and the institutional goals of recruitment, retention, and graduation during daily student interactions via processing incoming documentation and assisting coordinators in the Financial Aid office. Duties and Responsibilities:50% Assist Financial Aid Coordinators as needed with Verification, documentation, SAP, Reports, etc. by utilizing applicable software programs/websites such as Banner, BDMS, Argos, FAST, Studentaid.ed.gov, Studentloans.gov, TSAC portal, TNReconnect.gov, etc 30% Process and timely update RHACOMM/ROAMESG documents as they arrive via Secure Upload or scanned into BDMS. Work Argos reports as assigned by Coordinator or Supervisor. 10% Assist with answering phone calls transferred to ext.6565. Utilize a student focused one-stop approach to counsel, inform and process student situations in person and by phone, offering excellent customer service. 10% All other duties as assigned by Supervisor. Note: The College reserves the right to change or reassign job duties, or combine positions at any time. Required Qualifications: On the job training. Basic computer knowledge. Banner knowledge is a plus. Associate degree is a plus. The specific training requires the assistant to demonstrate the ability to learn to assist with numerous financial aid questions/concerns.
